Routes, Timetable & Free Stops
With the arrival of summer 2025, Bagheria welcomes residents and visitors with a new, useful and free initiative designed to enhance the local experience: a project that promotes sustainable urban mobility, helping to reduce traffic and pollution through complimentary shuttle buses.
From 1 June to 31 August 2025, a free city and tourist shuttle service will run daily, connecting Bagheria’s historic centre to the seaside village of Aspra and the area’s most popular beaches.
Let’s explore how the service works, the key stops, and why this is the ideal way to move around Bagheria, Aspra and nearby attractions – stress-free and car-free.
How the Shuttle Service Works
This service is designed to simplify travel, reduce congestion and offer a sustainable and convenient alternative for those who want to explore the town and coast without using a private vehicle.
Two different routes are available – one with a tourist focus and one more urban – each serving different needs for both residents and visitors. Here’s a breakdown of the routes and key stops:
- Tourist Route: Starts at the motorway junction meeting point and stops at Palazzo Butera, Via Libertà, the train station, Corso Baldassarre Scaduto (locally known as “U Rittufilu”), before continuing to the seaside areas of Mongerbino and the Aspra seafront. Perfect for those looking to explore the town and enjoy the sea without driving.
- City Route: Includes stops to key local points, such as the municipal cemetery, to support everyday commuting needs for residents.
A detailed map of stops is available on the dedicated website.
Schedule, Duration and How to Use the Service
The free shuttle between Bagheria and Aspra operates daily from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with extended evening service on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 PM to midnight.
It’s a flexible solution for exploring the area by day, or enjoying an evening walk or dinner by the sea in Aspra.
How to access the service: Booking is simple. Initially, you can reserve by phone. Later, reservations will also be possible through the official Tourist App of Bagheria, coming soon for download.
